The eight year license term has gone by in what might seem like the blink of an eye, but by December 1, radio stations in Minnesota will need to file their license renewal applications. TV follows just a year behind. With the public file online, a broadcaster’s activities will be subject to much more scrutiny than in the past. The application requires lots of certifications about subjects including the completeness of the public file, compliance with EEO rules, RF compliance, and a station’s service to the public. The renewal application and accompanying EEO filing will be filed in the relatively new FCC LMS database. With only a few months to go before the deadline, what should you be doing to prepare for your license renewal filing? Join MBA’s Washington DC counsel David Oxenford and David O’Connor for a discussion of some of the issues Minnesota’s radio broadcasters should be considering in preparation for their upcoming license renewal. The Webinar will take place on Tuesday, April 7th from 10:00am-11:00am (CT).
