While Quarterly Issues Programs do mention that stations are required to determine the issues of importance to their communities and that formal meetings with community leaders (which used to be referred to as ascertainment meetings) are one way to do that\, this is also a good way to create news stories and community service opportunities.\nMBA's Ascertainment Meetings are great for producers\, news staff\, content creators\, on-air staff\, sales and marketing.
